Our Mission
The F-factor utilizes fashion as a tool to employ creativity, build self-confidence, and nurture the self-esteem of foster children and abandoned youth
The F-factor designs signature programs called fashion workshops to impact the lives of foster children and abandoned youth. Each workshop is a unique experience allowing children to use fashion as their tool for self-expression, define their individuality and build self-confidence. Our workshops offer the opportunity to pick out brand new clothes, shoes & accessories that suit each child's needs.
We partner with local retailers and national brands to provide new fashions for youth working hard to find stability in foster care and living on the streets. Using fashion as a vibrant medium, The F-factor has designed the following Fashion Workshops.
Back to School Fashion Workshop
The first day of school can be intimidating, with many first impressions! Kids looking and feeling their best is essential to doing well in school and feeling confident amongst their peers. The Back to School Fashion Workshop helps youth gear up with brand new threads and most importantly a boost of confidence. This workshop includes fall fashions, shoes, undergarments and backpacks.
Offered to ages 6-18
Young Professionals Fashion Workshop
First impressions carry a lot of weight in the workforce. The Young Professionals Fashion Workshop is focused on fashions appropriate for job interviews and networking events. Participants are taught how to identify personal strengths, poise, posture, confidence and interview preparedness. This workshop offers one-on-one attention, personal fittings, hair and make-up tips, and a mock interview to practice presentation skills.
Offered to ages 16-24
